One-liners belong to the Twits.

Cloudy 11.57am 13 December 2010 Monday

I hate being typical.

I ate gelato before anyone knew what it was. MH and I were using initials and capitalising Certain Important Info before it became a mainstream trend. I wasn't a blogger in the Dark Ages but blogging wasn't a noun back then.

So now I have stopped eating gelato; using initials and using personification; blogging.

Of late, the urge to write sentences other than witty one-liners is increasing. Somehow, not writing has dulled my logical faculties; made my thoughts superficial and cookie cutter. Being abroad has necessitated the reduction of my reading pace, so much so that I... can't seem to find the mood to read. The combination of these 2 factors and the prolific nature of instant-gratifying programmes has promoted a really sluggish me. A noticeable decline in my spelling and typing capabilities has also a part to play in spurring my pride to take some action, I must add.

Being never satisfied with myself, this has given rise to my new campaign to think deeper thoughts, to write more often and to resist the urge to sucuumb to using Facebook or SMSes to get instant feedback.

I'll leave the composition of scintillating one-liners to Twits, thank you.
